Crowds and Cigarettes

Whilst in the mosh at Groovin, this guy was dancing like no one else and was admired by his insane movements.  A circle had to be created because people were getting hit by his waving arms spinning around. He danced like this all day, but in this picture he span so fast that he fell. As he fell he stopped for a moment and then pulled out a cigarette from behind his ear. The other man in the picture immediately bent down to light his cigarette with a match, stating "don't worry man, I got ya back". Good stuff and a perfect moment to capture.

The Impact Of 'Howl'

Howl is a beautifully cut, dramatized and animated retelling of the 1957 obscenity trial that poet Allen Ginsburg experienced once this controversial poem was written and published in 1955. James Franco plays Allen Ginsburg in this film that was written and directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. The film impacted me immensely in its release in 2010 and changed my views on what I considered great cinematic work. Check it out.
